Long story short: Ceton is helping me troubleshoot a recording problem with my HTPC/InfiniTV4 system. In scanning my diagnostic logs, they see troubles with the Cisco STA1520 Tuning Adapters -- there are 2 TAs required, since they only (currently) support 2 Tuners each -- and recommend I request that Cablevision push out the latest firmware to each of them.
My TAs currently have firmware release 1301; Ceton suggests updating to 1402 or -- even better -- the recently released 1501. Which, by the way, will allow a single STA1520 to support ALL FOUR tuners on the Ceton card! yay!!!
And now the sad news ... multiple calls to Cablevision Tech Support resulted in no help whatsoever. Specifically ... they think I have the "latest" firmware ... the firmware should update automatically ... and they HAVE NO IDEA WHAT RELEASE THEY THINK IS CURRENT.
Of course they're willing to send a tech out to help me troubleshoot. LOL.
Escalation to a "Supervisor" resulted in a call-back, leaving a message that they "have no further information for me."
A few googles later, and I learned that the FCC MANDATED the update by last August. Have a look at:

Anyone have any advice on how I can get these things updated?
