Cablevision continues to expand their subscription international offerings. And why wouldn't they, it's the perfect a-la-carte model and it's sent using SDV. They only have to pay for people who subscribe to it and only those that subscribe to it have to pay for it. We would have every channel we want if they could do that with everything. It might not be cheaper but you could choose what you wanted.

Effective today, October 13, 2011, Cablevision will launch the following networks: Latin American Sports, Vme Kids (iO en Espanol) and Noire TV Africa, Afrotainment Plus (iO African Package).
Latin American Sports brings exciting 24 hour sports coverage of the most popular sports from Puerto Rico, Cuba and Mexico. Vme Kids was developed for kids ages 2-6 with programs that empower kids with innovative, entertaining curriculum-based content. Latin American Sports will launch on channel 1069 and Vme Kids will launch on channel 1081. Both will be available to customers subscribing to the iO en Espanol Package. Noire TV Africa provides the latest in high quality Nollywood movies as well as news, music lifestyle and sports programming from Africa. Afrotainment Plus is the first and only channel in North America dedicated to broadcasting the best African movies, series and dramas, as well as sitcoms, music videos and sports. Noire TV Africa will launch on channel 1100 and Afrotainment Plus will launch on channel 1101. Both will be available as an a la carte service or by subscribing to the newly created iO African Package.
