[OOL] Planning to switch, current promo for a free install?
I have been with Verizon for almost 2 years. $35/month became $67 and would not give any discount so planning to switch.
Optimum has $45+fees, taxes for 100mbps speed. I plan to buy Arris TM822G after a month of using their modem (Is any other modem recommended?)
I can't find free install promo code for $45 package. For $55 package, they offer free install though but I don't need that extra speed.

Optimum Router QoS configuration

Is there any way to configure the QoS on the included Optimum Router? (sagecom fast 5260, I believe)
Every time when I stream on my tv hub, it uses up all the bandwidth & slowing down ALL ethernet ports, but wifi is working fine...

got a debitcard instead of a check for cancellation refund
mastercard, has 'optimum by Altice' on front, 1 year expiration date, $3 monthly card maintenance fee after card expired.
only need zip code to activate the card.
seems no process fee, so if you want one, just pay more on purpose --before-- cancelling, can't do it after they disable your account.
i just realized disabling account is a good idea to avoid needing to refund, the final bill may included equipments, or few people managing and forgot to tell the others not to pay, or even the auto pay.

[OOL] Optimum 300 but only getting 3.0Mbps
Apparently there's a major issue causing me to have download speeds of less than 10mbps, even though I'm paying for 300Mbps. tech was here today and replaced modem and the router but it did nothing to help this issue. My upload speeds seem to not be effected at all at around 30-35Mbps.
Only the downloads are effected and certain times of day (such as prime time) are worse than others. Certain times of day it goes up to 100Mbps, sometimes during the day itll even hit 200 or 300...but now at 930 its stuck below 5Mbps...unusable. I reside in a coop/apartment situation.
I'm Wired in to router; also tried bypassing router and wired directly into pc (gigabyte ethernet) which didnt help. Also tried connecting other pc's to the modem to make sure it wasnt a bad ethernet port but the other pc's had same exact issue so it's not my machine.
New modem and router with results below:

Altice One DVR Issues in CT
I moved into a new house in CT last week and my Altice One and Mini boxes fail to play DVR and OnDemand programs 75% of the time on all of the boxes. DVR comes back with error “VID-4.” Optimum has already installed a new drop from the pole to the house and seems clueless. Regular cable TV and Internet work fine. Just the DVR and OnDemand have an issue. Any ideas?

Why am i paying $40 more for 200?
I am on optimum 200.. been on it for a while now. My fees without the taxes is $85 per month...but i see that the plans cost $45 now and for life. Why am i being so charged so much? Do I have any recourse to get this new rate and credited back for being screwed?

Right now if I try to order Optimum Online service as a new customer and opt to bring my own modem, I get the recommendations of using any of these specific models:

I've been trying to go through the manufacturer to get the modem based on the link Altice has posted: https://shop.surfboard.com/optimum-store/
However the ARRIS TM1602 modem always seems to be only in "Pre-Order" status. I can potentially find it on other places like Amazon but it's more expensive and often mentions other Cable providers which makes me wonder if I'd be able to use it with Optimum at all.
I did have an Arris TM804 for a few years before it recently crapped out on me and now I'm kind of stuck renting a model from Altice as a form of troubleshooting. But I don't want to keep renting and was hoping to get the Arris TM 1602 or Arris TM 3202A (though I've had no luck finding this model anywhere on the internet).
Anyways, I'm hoping some people can provide some recommendations for where I can purchase a modem that would work with Optimum Online service.

This forum is dedicated to active discussions on the Altice Fiber rollout, where Altice (French telecom company who bought Optimum) is building out a fiber to the home network to replace the CoAX. The FTTH network will be similar to FiOS, in similar markets BUT it will be IPTV vs RF with Verizon AND it is ONLY where Optimum already exists. You may discuss to your heart's content.

[OOL] Wireless router supplied by optimum
My friend has no time to wait around for a tech, he called me last night said his router had a red globe on router and tech support can't see the router on there end. is there a way to fix that or is the router bricked?, also he said Everytime he connects ,the wizard comes up he followed the instructions same issue also rebooted modem as well .

BIG channel changes for those without a box!.
I can't even find WCBS channel 2-1 anymore!. WCBS was supposed to change frequencies on august 1 st. but apparently Altice moved that up!.. many other channels have moved too, and I don't like having to search through the garbage to delete the junk channels, and even then, I have to remember where the good channels are now!.. Hauppauge system.

[help] Upgraded to 200mbps but never got it
I cancelled cable with Optimum and kept internet service.
Was given a deal with 200mbps.
My speedtest is the same as it was before the upgrade, ~110mbps
When I ask tech support about it they claim that since I have my own modem (Arris TM1602) they cannot do anything to check or verify my speed.
That seems shady to me.
Is there any info under the modem stats (192.168.100.1) that will confirm what speed they are providing?
